FeatherWood's Difficult Past... Empty
PostSubject: FeatherWood's Difficult Past...   FeatherWood's Difficult Past... I_icon_minitimeSun Oct 11, 2009 7:46 am

It had happened when FeatherWood was only 6 months old.

Her family and herself were in their home in the Misty Field, her mom lovingly grooming her the way horses do. Back then, the place had had a quite different name. It had been the Forgiving Plains, where there was never any fighting, always peace and forgivness. Then, everything had changed.

A herd of 10 black, skeletal winged stallions had come. Feather's herd had been big, consisting of 39 horses. But the newcomers were so much stronger, faster, and meaner, plus they could fly. A war waged on between Feather's family and the newcomers. Then, one day, the newcomers had sent their youngest warrior, who was only a year old, out to decieve them. He had met up with Feather in an empty clearing where the ground had been stained black and red with blood.

Feather was about to call the alarm when he had begged her not to. He looked quite different; with a slim grey body and silvery mane and tail, his wings pure white. He had looked like a normal pegasus, and told Feather he had been captured by the warriors and charmed her. The trick worked, and Feather believed him her friend. He told her the warring had to stop, and she agreed. She cantered back to her herd of now only 15 horses to tell them of the young, grey Pegasus colt.

Feather's family were not big enough fools to go out to war when they only had 15 horses left, and only 7 warriors. So when Feather brought them the news of the captured Pegasus colt, they agreed to meet him, not knowing what would happen.'

The colt met with them and convinced them to surrender and talk in peace with the skeletal warriors, and they agreed.

On the day they walked to the warriors' camp, the colt came with them. He slipped away for a few minutes to try and convince his dad, who was the leader of the warriors, to spare FeatherWood, as he had grown to like her and her companionship. His father had agreed, and he had happily returned to Feather and her family's warriors.

And when they marched into the skeletal Pegasus warrior's camp, he had turned and changed into his true form, the skeletal Pegasus warrior form. While he was busy with one of the warriors, he was about to kill him when out of the corner of his eye, he saw his father go towards Feather, ready to kill her. He screamed in rage and slammed into his father, but it was too late. He went into a rage, killing all he saw. Then he heard a small whisper of wind with his name on its lips, and turned to Feather. She was alive! He cried out in joy and put his head beside her.

But it was to no good. She was too far gone. He let his tears flow freely over her, and they dissolved into her hair. Then Nyx, the one who had created all, appeeared before him. He begged her to spare her, to let Feather live, and she had agreed for one price;his own life. He had agreed.

Feather woke up, as if from a deep sleep, to see Nyx disappear and saw the colt before her, dying. Her coat was different, though; instead of its beautiful bay, it was a new color of whiteish silver. The colt told her everything, and her eyes widened. "No..." she had whispered, looking around, but it was true. Her whole family... dead... "NO!" she screamed into the sky. "No..." she then turned back to the colt, whose body was still. She touched him with her nose to find it growing steadily colder. She ran, swearing to never return to the place of her birth. A year passed... then another... and still she didn't return. Then, one day, she found herself in the lands by her home, and went to leave, but saw another stallion, who reminded her of the colt, so she had gone to investigate, thinking it him...

But it was still not over. It had never been over. The spirit of the colt and his father live in the land of the Misty Field, the father waiting to kill the filly his son had fallen in love with, the colt waiting to stop it...
