Kayak Flies In

Kayak flies to a nearby tree branch and perches on it. She ruffles her feathers as she looks down to the ground, searching for prey.

Frightful~ I soar in and land in a nearby tree. I preen my feathers and ruffled them around. My eyes scanned my surroundings, missing the other falcon, and, seeing movement in the grasses below, I dived steeply from my tree without a noise. I catch the wild duck and fly back up to my perch in the tree, breaking its neck swiftly. I start eating, my eyes scanning arund again, and I notice the other falcon. With a soft cry of greeting, I fly swiftly towards her.

Kayak spots a wild duck she readies to soar off and get it, but another falcon already had it in it's talons. The falcon flew towards her, twittering a greeting. She watched the falcon land on her branch. "Hello." Kayak caws.

Frightful~ I smile lightly. "Hello. Sorry, I didn't see another falcon here. what's your name?"

Kayak grips the branch tightly with her talons. "Kayak." She tweets. "Yours?" She asks. She flaps her wings, making the branch shake then she rests them.

Frightful~ I stretch one wing to its full length and fold it back against my side, then do the same with the other. "Frightful," I say. My black-brown eyes surveyed the surroundings. "Sorry," I repeat. "Do you want me to leave?"

Kayak shakes her head. "It's not like it's my territory or anything.." "It looks like it's not your's either, Frightful.." She said, giggling a bit.

Frightful~ I look confused. "I never said it was my territory," I look up at the sky, noticing the wind patterns and wishing I could soar on them.

Kayak noticed that Frightful's eyes were locked on something. She looked to where Frightful was looking. She too wished to fly through the thermals. She smiled at Frightful. Or at least she tried to. It had been a while before Kayak soared through the wind. She swung on the branch, almost falling upside down.

Oka clawed her way up the tree, stealthily. She licked her lips, hoping falcons would be a wonderful meal. Her pups waited in the bushes, hungrily.

Frightful~ I spot the wolf and screech a warning to it. I jump off my branch, the wind quickly catching in my wings. I screech again and dive at the wolf, trying to scratch her, then dive away before it can get me.

coco the falcon swops in grabing the wolfs fur cuting it thant leting go of it

Frightful~ I rose up on a warm updraft and circled overhead, then dived almost 1,000 ft to the others

coco flew to a new tree thinking that the other two falcons were mates

[uhm, Kayak and Frightful are both girls lol]

Frightful~ I fly high, looking around with my sharp eyesight

Frightful~ I call to Kayak and the new falcon softly

Oka swayed her head back and forth. "I wish the flat-faces could kill you all! You dirty falcons are too scared to walk on ground. So you were made to fly!" She snarled at the falcons and she clawed at the bark. She stomped towards her pups. She stared at Luna, her eyes in rage.

"Sorry, mom..?" Luna whimpered.

Yogi tucked his tail between his legs.

Oka sighed. "It's ok my little blueberry.." She said softly to Yogi.

Luna scrunched her nose. Why did Yogi get all the attention? She sat down and stared up at the falcons. Why couldn't she fly away and be free?

Kayak stared down at the sad wolf pup. She looked un-cared for. She watched the wolves lay down and take a rest. She just couldn't believe how or why her mother was treating her this way? She stay perched there but she still looked up at Frightful with unhappy eyes.

Frightful~ I land on the cliff and look down on the others.


[aww, mean lol..... and lol, falcons prefer open skies and cliffs to trees]

Kayak stared sadly at Frightful. She turned her head towards the wolves. "That's no way to treat your pup!" Kayak cawed at the wolves.

Oka stared at Kayak. "Whadda you know bout' wolves, beetle-brain? NOTHING! No one cares about you so just fly off!" She snarled. Yogi coughed. "Mom..I haven't eaten in a long tiime!" He yelped. He felt his stomach caving in. "Sorry my little starshine..I will try and find you food..""Mom! Can I help you hunt? Because maybe we can hunt a rabbit or something!" Luna said excitedly."SHH!" Oka snapped. "We will hunt later, Luna!" She tossed on her side and cuddled Yogi, leaving Luna laying away from her. Luna grunted unhappily. If she doesn't love me, I don't love her! I'll just run away! Run away from mother, Yogi, and everything else!

coco flew off the tree and soon came back and droped three medimem sised birds to the floor here you go

Frightful~ I kakaked angrily. "We were here first! YOU'RE the one that should leave!" I swoop down lower and glare at the mom wolf. "And Kayak's right; you should treat your wolf pup better nstead of cuddling the other!" I fly up higher on the wind patterns, keeping within hearing of the others.
